Thank you Chea & Jodi. I'm still hanging in there. I'm having some pretty low moments but I'm hanging on.

I cancelled last minute due to my father's illness. I wanted to go but I wasn't sure what shape my dad would be in (this was before he passed away).

So my girls have promised to have a drink for me (like they needed an excuse). And maybe they'll remember me when they're drunk dialing.

As for this question, I'm coming to the conclusion it's just something one stubbornly, sometimes boneheadedly insist on doing. In motorcycle safety training there was one rule, look where you want to go. Always have a directional ace in the hole. Something rather large and scary is coming at you? Look where you want to go, NOT at what you want to avoid.

It's what comes to mind right now with all the things happening that could really make me neurotic and even downright terrorized if I think too much about it. Of course, there is another saying that there are two types of bikers, those who have been stomped and those who will be. Doesn't stop us tho now does it?
