Vegas Bash FAQ

Written by Brie (rev. Nov-19-2011)

What does a 5 day Bash registration include?
A 5 day Bash registration allows you access to all events, which events you attend is up to you. We like to use the analogy that the Bash is like a buffet; you can pick and choose the events you would like to attend. Nobody attends all of the events, it would be humanly impossible. The cost is $249.00 when you register online for the Early Bird Sale ONLY.

Can I add Thursday to my weekend Bash ticket?
Yes, you can add Thursday to your Weekend Bash registration. Just come to the bash check-in and let us know you want to add Thursday. The cost is $40.00 and gives you access to all or as many events as you'd like on Thursday. You can add as many days as you'd like to a paid Weekend Bash registration at $40.00 per day.
Please do not misunderstand... The $40.00 per day ONLY applies to adding days to a paid Weekend Bash registration and is done at Bash check-in, and that's in the lobby of the Tuscany.

Do you sell single event tickets?
No, I'm sorry we don't. You can purchase either a Full Week or Weekend registration, as well as adding days to a Weekend registration, but we do not sell single event tickets. The Bash is designed to be an experience, the more of the Bash you attend the better the experience. We truly believe that it is an all encompassing event, that just cannot be done with attending for at least the weekend.
The best way I think I can describe it, is to just imagine a parking lot somewhere and Disney sets up it's coolest, most popular ride; just experiencing that one ride would be fun, but does not in any way come close to matching the experience of being at Disney World. While we know you will have a blast at all of our parties and events, we really want to reach deeper.

Is alcohol served at events?
Yes, at our night time events we do have a cash bar available, as well as a free water station.
FYI: You will find a water station at all of our events, this is Vegas and we encourage you to drink lots of water and keep hydrated.

Is the hotel included in my Bash registration?
No, the hotel is not included in your 5 day or weekend Bash registration but we do have a great block rate, STARTING AT $29.00 for Sunday - Thursday nights and STARTING AT $54.00 for Friday and Saturday nights. To get that rate just call the Gold Coast 1(800)331-5334 and let them know you will be attending the BBW Vegas Bash and give them the discount booking code of ABBWNET.

Are meals included in with the 5 day or weekend registration?
We do serve a fabulous dinner buffet at our formal dinner dance on Saturday night and we also have hot and cold appetizers and munchies available at some of our other evening events.

How do I book a room at the Gold Coast and what's the cost?
The Gold Coast's phone number is 1(800)331-5334 Be sure to tell them you are attending the Bash and give them our discount room block code of ABBWNET.
When you book your reservation be sure to tell them of any special needs you may have so that the can better meet those needs by planning ahead for you. Please keep in mind some things are requests for your comfort and they will do their best for us.
The cost for rooms, depending on type STARTS AT $29.00 for Sunday - Thursday and STARTS AT $54.00 for Friday and Saturday.

I am a vendor at the Bash can I stay at the hotel?
Yes, vendors can book a room at the Gold Coast with the link provided when you registered as a vendor. All vendors will be issued a vendors wristband that will allow you access to get to your hotel room and the vendors areas only.

Do I have to stay at the Gold Coast to attend the Bash?
No, not at all. Many people say it adds to the Bash experience staying at the host hotel but where you stay is up to you. We do get a great discounted room rate starting at $29.00 for Sunday - Thursday nights and starting at $54.00 for Friday and Saturday nights. To get that rate just call the Gold Coast 1(800)331-5334 and let them know you will be attending the BBW Vegas Bash and give them the discount booking code of ABBWNET.

I am the guest of someone who is attending the Bash, can I stay at the Gold Coast?
Generally speaking the answer is no, but please feel free to email us and explain, and we will make decisions on a case by case basis. brie@bbwnetwork.com
NO refunds will be given. Any questions about this policy are best asked before the Bash! brie@bbwnetwork.com

How do I find a roommate?
Lots of people come to the Bash alone, but are looking for roommates to help save money, or for some, that just want the company.
We do have a section on the message board for people seeking roomies. Looking for a Roommate?
I recommend you book a room and then post on the forum looking for a roommate. When you think you have found someone, be sure they are compatible with you, things like the hours they keep, smoking or not, messy or a neat freak, party animal or not so much. Exchange numbers and talk out the details.
Many people do this every year so I'm sure there is someone out there that's compatible with you, just be very open and honest about expectations.

Checking into and out of the Hotel when you have a very early or a late flight.
I know a lot of you are seasoned travelers, but some others are not, so I just wanted to let you know, if you arrive early for check-in, go ahead and check-in, but you may be told your room is not ready yet. The good news is that they will store your luggage for you and deliver it to your room when ready. Bash check-in is in the Gold Coast lobby, so have your photo ID and Bash confirmation handy, so can get your wristband.
It's a good idea to pack a carry-on with your swimsuit (or put your swimsuit in a front pocket of your luggage so you can get at it easily) then you can just head right to the pool and see all of your Bash buddies. Remember you can not get in the pool area without your Bash wristband. Security will be at the pool gate at ALL times checking for Bash wristbands.
The same is true if you have a late flight. No need to walk around dragging your luggage, just check it with the Bellman. He'll give you a ticket to get it when you are ready. One little bit of advise is to carefully count the number of pieces you are checking and be sure you have them all when you are leaving.

Is the Bash mostly singles or couples?
We do have a lot of couples that attend as well as a lot of singles.

What's the male to female ratio?
In the last few years it's been about 50 / 50

Can I meet the person of my dreams at the Bash?
Sure, you can meet the person of your dreams anywhere, and many couples have met and married at the Bash, but should you come with the purpose of meeting your dream mate? Absolutely not.
You should come enjoy the comradery of being around people just like you, and the people who love and support us. Besides you know what they say... when you least expect it, you will find your perfect someone. So just come and have fun!

I hear the Bash attendees are all very friendly and welcome newbies with open arms, is this true?
Oh yeah, we do love our newbies and vets alike. You will find the Bash a warm and friendly place to be.

I'm coming alone, will I still have fun at the Bash?
You may travel alone, but when you get to the Bash, you will be surrounded by hundreds of friends. My best advise is going on the forums to meet people before you get here. The Bash is a place where you get back, what you put into it, so if you are warm and welcoming, then you will get the same in return.

How do I get info on being a vendor at the Bash?
Our vendors typically do very well at the Bash and about 90% of our vendors have vended with us in the past. Follow this link for more info TBA
Keep in mind the Bash is PG-13 and the vendors fair is open to the public, so anything you sell or display must also be PG-13.

Scooter Rentals
If you're on fence about renting a scooter or not, then I would recommend that you do rent one. The BBWnetwork has been dealing with Active Mobility and have found them to be very helpful and friendly... Just be sure to tell them you are attending the Bash. Book early so they can better plan for us.

FYI: If you need a scooter be sure to reserve one, as they will only have scooters there for folks that made reservations. If you book once you get there, you will have to wait for one to be delivered and if it's after-hours, you will have to wait until the next day.

Phone: (702) 736-4399

Is there a shuttle from airport to the Gold Coast?
You can take a taxi, but it will run you about $15.00, and does get you there fast.

Do you have to be 21 or older to attend the Bash?
Yes, you do have to be 21 years old or older to attend.

What should I pack?
Many Bash guests are seasoned travelers, but some others are not. Aside from the obvious light-weight clothing, comfortable shoes and whatever else that makes you the fashionista that you are, be sure to pack:

All of your prescription medications, even if it's something you don't take very often, like allergy meds, asthma meds, etc. You never know if you will need it. (ALL important medications should be packed in your carry-on and readily available to you if your checked baggage is lost)
NOTE: If you forget something and use a large chain pharmacy like CVS or Walgreens, they can fill your prescription here in Vegas too.
It's a good idea to keep the little tabs that come on the outside of your prescription bags, they look and read just like your prescription bottles; if you have a problem, this lets people know a lot of very important info and may save your life.
You should also tuck a note in your wallet with emergency contact info. You're away from home and we may need to contact someone back home. Some people like Chubbs, have an ICE (In Case of Emergency) Program/App on their phone as well.
Always carry ID with you, in Vegas you legally must have photo ID with you at all times, especially in casinos.
Vegas is VERY DRY so plan to stock up on bottled water when you get here.
You also will need lotion and hair conditioner, even if you don't use it at home, believe me you'll want it here.
Don't forget to pack a hat, sunglasses and strong sunscreen.

Ok, I know you think I'm treating you like a dumb bunny with all of these obvious things, but EVERY year we see people who could have saved themselves a lot of pain and grief if they just planned a little more. We love you all and just want you to have a safe and fun time.
